Big Art Day is an art happening to raise awareness of art education and art as a creative force in our communities on a BIG statewide scale. It is an attempt by the Texas Art Education Association (TAEA) to engage all art educators, their students and communities in a single day art event.

Through the TAEA Lens
Engage art educators and membership from all divisions, levels, affiliates etc . . . across the state in a single effort to create an art event, project, program that happens on a single day. TAEA will work to coordinate, register and assist in promotion of Big Art Day. This event is for members and by members!

Spring 2025 — On one single day, a day of art. Plan your event for Thursday, March 6, 2025 — Big Art Day!
Join our BIG audacious goal of 1000 registered Big Art Day events on March 6th!
Brainstorm ideas of Big Art Day events like:
- Workshops for kids
- Mural Dedications
- Gallery Nights, art shows, etc. Openings
- Handing out materials in front of museums
- Special museum / higher ed events
- Empty Bowl events
- Art oriented service learning events
- Art fairs
- Paint out or Sketchcrawl
- NAHS activities
- Be creative and go BIG for art!
